case of Messrs Alver, the present Colonial Treasurer

has thoroughly rehabilitated himself in public estimation

and has proved himself to be a competent

and energetic Official.

A conciliated statement to this effect has

been made on several occasions by those

who were previously inclined to criticise

and it has been suggested that the Assistant Colonial Secretary should
